Teaching Procedures:
Step1. Lead-in
1. Ask 2 questions: 1). After graduation, what major do you plan to choose?
2). Have you decided which job to take in the future?
— do a career planning
2. Introduce the situation and importance of career planning by a chart and come to a conclusion
— success favors only the prepared mind.
3. How to make a career planning:
1). internal factors: personal advantages and interests
2). External factors: environmental changes — the fittest survive
Step2. Reading
1. introduce today’s main task: hold an interview about environmental changes
Suppose you are a professor from Nanjing Normal University, today you come to SCZ to attend an interview about the environmental changes of career. Others play the role of journalists to ask as many questions as possible about environmental changes.
2. skimming the passage

3. reading strategy:
1). Introduce some skills:
① topic of paragraph with a sentence gap
② read backwards and forwards to find clues ( nouns, pronouns, adjectives)
③ read missing sentences to highlight clues and linking words
④ match sentences to information in different sections of the text
2). Take gap1 as an example
3). Let students do the 5 gaps left to consolidate the reading strategy
